This unique piece is made from the wood of a 1920's church organ that was being dismantled. The box was then treated with the Japanese wood preservation method of Shou-sugi-ban (burning of the wood) giving it a beautiful black patina. The hinges and clasp are made from veg tanned leather, copper wire and an old square nail.
The engraving on the front roughly translates to 'Fortune Comes to the Brave' and the lining is one complete genuine rabbit pelt.
